Every grade has its own den.
A den is a small group of Scouts in the same grade with their own leader. Pack 170 runs all six of them, Lion through Arrow of Light, and they all come together at pack meetings.
Open a den to see its adventures.
Every den works through the same six required adventures, written for that grade: character, the outdoors, fitness, citizenship, safety, and family.
Each den sets its own meeting schedule after the first pack meeting of the school year. Pack-wide dates live on theCalendar.
Adventures, not homework.
An adventure is a short set of hands-on activities a den does together: a hike, a service project, a build, a safety lesson. Six required adventures plus two of the Scout’s own choosing earn the badge of rank for that grade.
Every den starts the year with the same adventure, Bobcat, which covers the Scout Oath, the Scout Law, and how the den works. Since 2024 it is earned fresh each year at a level that fits the grade.
Nobody falls behind
A Scout who joins mid-year joins the den for their grade and works on whatever the den is doing. There is no catching up on past years.
