Who this site serves
This website shares public information with parents, guardians, and community members. It is not directed to children for the purpose of collecting personal information. A parent or guardian should submit every inquiry.
Information a parent provides
The contact form collects a parent or guardian’s name, email address, selected topic, and message. A parent may optionally provide their phone number and their child’s grade. Event registration collects the registering adult’s name, email address, and phone number, along with attendance counts, optional dietary notes, and any selected items. Do not submit a child’s name, home address, school, phone number, medical information, or other sensitive details.
How inquiries are handled
Parent inquiries should route to multiple authorized adult pack volunteers. The site does not create direct or private adult–youth messaging. Information is used to respond to the inquiry and support the family’s participation in the pack.
Youth names and photographs
If youth are identified publicly, the site will use first name and last initial at most. Pack photographs will only be published when the pack has the required permission and has checked current opt-outs. Event-level captions are preferred over naming individual youth.
Public site
Everything on this website is public. The site does not provide a members-only area, private group, direct messaging, or youth account.
Storage, security, and service providers
Contact submissions and event registrations are stored in the Pack’s SonicJS CMS on Cloudflare D1. Cloudflare Turnstile checks whether a submission appears automated, and the CMS authenticates authorized adult administrators before they can view private registration or contact details. Mailgun delivers event registration confirmation and edit-link emails. Restricted security metadata may include submission time, IP address, browser user-agent, referring page, and country code. The Turnstile response token is verified by the CMS and is never stored.
Third-party links
The site may link to BeAScout, the Central Georgia Council, Highland Hills Baptist Church, and other services selected by Pack 170 adults. Those services have their own privacy practices. No analytics service is currently configured; this policy must be updated before one is enabled.
Retention and deletion
Contact submissions and their volunteer audit records are automatically deleted after 365 days. Event registration responses are automatically deleted after 90 days, and their audit records after 365 days. Pack leadership may delete information sooner when it is no longer needed for the inquiry, event, pack administration, safety, or applicable recordkeeping. A parent may request review or deletion through the contact form.
Changes
The effective or review date shown above will change when this policy materially changes. Pack 170 adults should review this policy whenever forms, analytics, photography practices, or administrators change.
Contact
Pack 170 does not publish adult email addresses. Send every question about this site or this policy through the contact form; it reaches multiple authorized adult volunteers.
